The Habitorium is headed east!
The Survey of Bookish Habits has arrived at Main Street Books (2 East Main St.) in Frostburg MD! Surveys are available September 9, through October 17. I will be in the bookstore on September 21, from 1 to 3 p.m., taking surveys in person. Come through if you are in that neck of the woods!
The Survey of Bookish Habits was devised to learn about how people use, store, share, and engage with their books. I will prepare a suite of paintings for inspired by the survey responses gathered at the store. The paintings will be available for sale beginning Thanksgiving weekend, at Main Street Books.
You don’t have to be in Frostburg to reply to the Survey of Bookish Habits! Print out the PDF of the survey, respond fully to all the questions, and send your reply to The Habitorium (preferably by USPS mail). All surveys received before October 17, 2025 will be included in my report on the findings and fodder for my paintings.
This is the THIRD iteration of the Survey of Bookish Habits which launched five years ago at City Books (Pittsburgh PA). It was also juried into the Vanguard Exhibition at the Eric Fischl Gallery of Phoenix Community College (2023).
